Grind Craft Instant Coffee Is (Finally) Here.

And it’s never been so speedy or so simple to make a café-worthy brew at home.

Grind instant coffee has been a long time coming. It's taken us years to create our own instant because we wanted to get it right. And now we have: it's the same ethically-sourced, speciality-grade coffee you know and love, but carefully crafted for instant brewing. Ideal for when you're feeling a little lazy or when you're running a little late, it’s now easier than ever to make a barista-quality brew at home.

The Grind Instant Coffee Process.

Our craft instant coffee receives the same care as all of our coffee. We start by ethically sourcing our speciality-grade coffee beans from sustainable farms, working directly with growers and paying them above FairTrade prices.

Our beans are then carefully roasted, ground, brewed, and slowly freeze-dried to create soluble granules. We then enhance these granules with premium Arabica microgrounds to give our instant coffee a fuller body and richer flavour profile.

Available in regular and decaf, our 100% Arabica Barista Blends are smooth, chocolatey, and sweet, and can be enjoyed hot or cold—so no more waiting for your coffee to cool down for your iced coffee—no equipment necessary.

What's Different about Grind Instant Coffee?

Most instant coffees are made using low-quality Robusta beans that are mass-farmed, mass-roasted, and quickly freeze-dried, resulting in the bitter, harsh, and sour flavour that  instant coffee is often associated with.

Grind instant is different because we've set out to make the best instant coffee you can find: it's crafted using 100% speciality-grade Arabica beans, which we ethically source from sustainable farms and expertly roast before slowly and carefully freeze-drying into soluble granules. We then enrich these granules with 15% microground Arabica beans, which gives our instant coffee its full-bodied flavour and smooth texture.

Both our instant blends also mix hot or cold, so you can use them to make all of your favourite iced coffees, too. There aren't many other instant coffees that can say the same.

How to Use Grind Instant Coffee.

For craft coffee, instantly:

  1. Add a teaspoon (2.5g) of instant coffee to a mug.
  2. Pour in 200ml hot (not boiling!) or cold water.
  3. Give it a good stir and enjoy on its own or with ice, milk, sugar, syrups, and whatever else you fancy. This is a judgement-free zone.

What Does Craft Coffee Mean?

We use the term 'craft' to describe our coffee to signify the craftsmanship behind each cup: our coffee is made with meticulous care and attention to detail, always.

We’ve grown a lot since our first roastery in Shoreditch, but every day our team in Bermondsey still expertly roasts high-quality coffee beans by hand. We carefully roast our beans in a way that enhances their natural flavour characteristics, and our stringent QC ensures we’re consistently hitting our roast curves and flavour goals, making a pretty exceptional cup of coffee.

We partner with coffee growers who go above and beyond to ensure their beans are of the highest quality. From scrupulous tree pruning and harvesting, to milling, drying, and shipping, the farmers, exporters, and importers we work with use their expertise to get the absolute best from their produce.

The result of all this is a range of coffees that we’re really proud of. Each one exhibits a unique flavour profile, representing the hard work and dedication of people from the farm to our roastery. Hopefully, that’s what you’ll notice with every Grind brew you enjoy at home, on a plane, or in one of our cafés.
